Traffic Exchanges can help boost your ranking

An often overlooked benefit of using Traffic Exchanges in your marketing program is that adding your sites to traffic exchanges is a great way to increase your Alexa rankings and improve your overall ratings in the search engines. Traffic sites rotate your links, which generate "hits." Plus, members surf and view your ads and sites in ways safe lists, ffa and classified ad posts don't provide.

Many affiliate sites “reward” you for promoting their site, ie your referral link, with credits and sometimes cash. This makes traffic exchanges, sometimes called “surf sites” a good venue for most affiliate programs. Program owners rely on affiliates to help increase their traffic and search engine rankings, so adding your affiliate program to traffic sites is a win-win situation for everyone.

The primary concern when adding your link, whether it be a your affiliate or your own site, is that it is “traffic” friendly. The majority of te programs no longer accept items attached to a site which disrupt the surf in anyway. Those DO NOT reside in the te database, therefore when a problem arises nothing can be done about it until the actual parent or host site can be found.
This also holds true for “rotators”, and you will find the majority of te’s do not accept those as well.

Outside of these issues, seeking out and adding your sites to exchanges makes good business sense. They do require some of your time to manage. As they are “exchanges”, you view sites to gain credits to fuel your own sites running on the surf bar. Plus, most exchanges require you log in at least once monthly and surf to keep your sites current. In very active communities, you need to surf to keep you in credits. The other option is purchasing credits and or/upgrading.

When seeking out quality traffic, you want to keep in mind not only membership size and activity but also the kind of Admin involved with the site. Are issues resolved quickly, how does Admin respond to member emails, is the surf kept clean and safe. Communications is the key in all relationships, and just as relevant in regards to your membership in an exchange. Also, look for "value added" features such as pay-per-click, other marketing resources, membership special offers and etc. These things really can seperate the "good" traffic sites from the "outstanding."

3. “Did you know that many web-based email services actually reject your incoming safe list email even if you have signed up to receive them?” asks Cherie. “Don’t get me wrong, we all love those free accounts at Yahoo, but, Yahoo is not email marketing friendly. In fact, most of your web-based email providers including Aol and msn/hotmail are either banned at most safe lists or return your marketing email, won’t allow it into your inbox and etc. This is lethal for online marketers using email to market their sites, services and products.” She concludes.

Well, if you have answered yes to even one of these questions (although my guess is you have answered yes to all) than you are promoting wrong.

Does this mean that safelists, ffa's, traffic exchanges, and leads are bad forms of advertising? Absolutely not! You are just using them wrong.

Why? Because you are promoting to the masses. You are promoting to around 1% of targeted traffic...people who are actually interested in YOUR biz or product. Wouldn't promoting you business to, let's say 50%+ sound better? I know it would!

What you need to do is to build a contact list. This is the best way of promoting yet so many internet marketers do not do it. My guess is that, although this is easy to do, it is time consuming.

Just a side note...a contact list IS different than a newsletter list. Think about how many newsletter's you belong to. Do you really know the person behind that writing? Most likely not.

Email Marketing Centers:

One of the most effective and proven methods for online marketing remain Email marketing, and that usually means a “submitter” of some type. Submitters basically “submit” your ads to lists. Some are the kind you “download” onto your computer, then load your lists and “submit” your ads to. All About SAL's

Ok, so now you joined my or someone elses SafeAdlist (SAL)or you are thinking about doing so. But how does it work, how does it differ from regular safelists? Well, allow me to explain it to you.

When you join a safelist you agree to have hundreds of people email you their ad in exchange for you emailing your ad to them. What does that mean? As we all know....LOT'S of email in both your inbox and bulk box.

Some safelists are free, some are paid, and some work on a points basis. When they work on a points basis you earn points by either referring people and/or by reading the emails. You than can use those points to "pay" to send your ad. I once saw one where you earned 1 point per email read and 1 point per referral as a free. It than cost 1 point per email sent. So, if the list had 1200 members, and you wanted to send to all the members, you would need to use 1200 of your credits. In order to gain back those 1200 you would need to refer 1200 people or read 1200 emails......that's alot!

SafeAdlists are different. You will not receive lots of email to your email boxes. The only email you will receive is from Admin and the occassional solo ad.

Now, let's use my SafeAdlist as an exampe. As a pro member I automatically give you 500 points just for joining, some credit based safelists don't give you any. Like I said, you won't get regular emails, so you have to go to the site and log in. Once there you need to read the emails. You receive 5 points for every email that you read and 4 points for every solo ad that you read. You will receive 200 points plus $1 for every referral you make. As you can see you can easily earn points with this system. Although not all exactly the same, most SafeAdlists offer comprable points.

So now you know how to earn points. What do you do with them? Well, when someone else logs in and browses the ads, YOUR ad will be seen. Everytime someone reads YOUR ad, you account will be deducted 5 points. So, if there are 100 members and 50 log in today, your account will have 250 credits deducted. If this was a credit based safelist, your account would have 500 credits deducted....and who knows how many would actually read your ad. This system ensures that when your account has a deduction....YOUR ad IS being read!

Search Estate--Soaring Traffic All Over The Web!

Many people ask me how Search Estate can help their business. All though it can be another home based business opportunity, it amazes me how many people skip over it because they don’t see the advertising potential in it. So, let’s get to it…
